Sales were through the roof in Springfield and Quahog… “I’m lovin’ it.” thought Ronald mcdonald as he was looking at his sales and profit report. “But something’s not right..” he thought as he continued looking over the report. All the numbers added up correctly but it showed that both units were closing four hours early almost every day due to the fact that they were selling out of food. “Can this really be true? Are the inventory counts right?” There was something strange going on and he just couldn’t put his finger on it. Just then the phone rang… “Hello?” Ronand said and he instantly recongnised the deep Southern accent on the other end… “mcdonald! Are you sending in your clowns to buy out all my food and making my restaurants close early?” “I mean these profits are Finger Licking Good, but closing three hours early everyday just won’t do.. I won’t stand for it!” Ronald fired back.. “Just hold on a minute, you mean you are having the same problem I am?” “Let me ask you a question Mr. Sanders.. Are your resturants that are closing early located in Springfield and Quahog?” “Yes sir they are.” the Colonel answered back. “Well Mr. Sanders, I’m not sabotaging your resturants, and it’s obvious that you are not sabotaging mine, so I say we need to work together and find out whats going on around here.” Ronald told him. Merv Griffin died earlier this week. Many of us are feeling a strong sense of sadness at his passing. Although Merv is dead and has passed on to an even greater life, his spirit lives on in our memories and heart. It wasn’t his talent, TV shows and hotel empire that made him so great it was his heart. He treated celebrities and fans alike…with warmth, kindness and enthusiasm. I watched Merv’s show, took notes and applied what he offered in my everyday life. Being a chronic stutterer and painfully shy was like being shackled in the dungeon of my own mind. Following Merv’s example helped set me free. Watching Merv’s talk show and the shows of the other talk show greats including Johnny Carson and Dick Cavett gave me modeling and communication techniques that helped me to not only dissolve the paralyzing terror but brought me peace of mind, abundant friendships, and business success (all before the age of eighteen). In my eighteenth summer I magically found myself being entertained by Merv in his Carmel home. I felt fortunate to have the opportunity to thank him for his invaluable mentorship and inspiration. Years later we would again cross pathes in Southern California when we became neighbors. And yes, Merv is just as gracious off stage as he is on. Just like your favorite next door neighbor. He could be tough too and sometimes we had a difference of opinion on some of the development changes he wanted to bring to the neighborhood. But he was forever the constant …

Bad Boss, Great Job… What do I do?

I have a wonderful position where I like my co-workers, my customers, and I am proud of my business.

I am on the brink of recieving benefits (after 13 months due to poor office staff not meeting deadlines)…

I am up for employment review with a good reputation with my co workers and my clients. Many praises.

But, I have a poor senior manager, and a poor workgroup manager.

I have begged, pleaded, given notice, made compromises, and even drafted schedule templates in order to persuade my bosses to provide me with a work schedule that does not conflict with my school, and allows me time to study and to spend time with my loved ones. I have been promised cooperation: with no results, just more problems and mistakes.

Many letters and conversations have been had. I even requested a transfer, and was manipulated into staying.

I also recently cross-trained as a favor to the management to help cover some understaffed workstations. I accepted this cross train on the precedent that I would still maintain the larger portions of my hours in my preferred workstation. I recieve tips + wage at my preferred position. My alternate position is the same wage, but is not tipped and therefore cuts about 1/4 of my income. They have continued to place me in the less savory position for the majority of my weekly hours due to their constant staffing issues for this area.

Recently a co-worker in my preferred station was granted the set schedule of his choice, and it directly conflicts with my needs. Hands down, I am a more flexible and reliable employee than my co-worker, and I feel I deserve to have some of my requests fulfilled as a token of appreciation for the favors I have listed.

How can I convince, or motivate my boss to work with my needs as an employee? I am regularly told what it takes to pacify me, without any good made on their word. My boss does not take well to threats, he is a skillful conversationalist and a persuasive manipulator. Signing an official agreement is out of the question, it has been attempted, and I was made to feel I was insulting my boss. What is the best way to encourage action from my superior without retaliation?

I do not want to resign. I am being pushed to a point in which I must leave if things do not change. Otherwise my grades and loved ones will suffer. Of 14 shifts in a week, I have made myself available for 10 of them, and the typical workweek is 5-6 shifts.

Any help from the devil’s advocate?
I can see how my constant pleading for them to work with me could be a minus. I am sure they are sick of hearing it, as sick as I am of saying it. So… then what? Do I just hush up and deal with it? or do I put a foot down and say: this is the only time I can and will work for you?

Now the idea that changes that is possible and reasonable and economically friendly and beneficial.. first and foremost thank you for taking the time to read what i have written for a idea in agriculture that 70 years old., It is CHANGE THAT IS POSSIBLE, it mite benefit all of us. Ushering in a new GOLDEN AGE. You have my vote because I believe in you, if I can help out in anyway I will. So here is the idea and thank you again to whoever reads this, please forgive my grammatical errors, and imagine the idea of this kinds of independence and appreciation that would grow from this. Now there would be taxes involved yes, but in the long-term wouldn’t it be beneficial to the next generation up and coming generations, and if weight it out, don’t we benefit in the long run by investing in them. i would love your options, tell me what you think and give your opions,

A Hydroponic Chemical Treatment and Distribution Plant

In every town or city, right next to the pre existing water supply and treatment Plant. it would recycle the chemical excess through the water filtration/treatment plant and put those recycled chemicals get ride of the root that broke off the plants, or hydroponic rocks, and clean the water and equalize the pH in the water supply. put the nutrient chemicals back into the hydroponic chemical plant where they separated and put into there own holding containers. After it has been feed into the sewage/piping to the apartments or houses. And the cycle keeps repeating. like it does with already preexisting water supply and treatment facility’s. that could help feed a populous during a time of crisis or out of good will.

Economic Boost, Higher Population, and New Jobs

when you build something BIG A whole new job trade and economic boost would occur. Through hydroponics and you produce a better plant though. Farmers could dedicate there fields could be feed the hydroponic solution for the crop, it would grow faster, and juicer. they could grow rarer foods, opening up new markets Farmers could dedicate more time to growing corn to make ethanol making gas cheaper, instead of growing already preexisting food grown by people in there homes or apartments. Or. It would teach a better appreciation of nature show the world that America is taking steps to solving hunger Better plants mean better health, increase in population.

Time of Crisis or Disaster

There are many benefits in desperate times especially now, If there ever was wide spread panic and a great economic depression occurred it would stop starvation amongst the middle class, millions would raid the local supermarket and clean them out. Or if a nuclear war happened and certain areas got hit and there is no way to get to the areas of food supply, you would have a decent amount of food growth for a city causing millions not to die.

Education System Idea

A gardening class in the school system for every age setup to teach people how to grow certain things. It would appreciation for nature and all life, it would teach survival skills also and many more ideas and a way to release stress.

Toxin Control

the plant would have checkpoint setup through out the city that would analyze the water within every city block. or area were the water would run through a filter to check to see if someone is tampering with the water supply by putting poisons into it to kill millions or to see if someone is growing something illegal, it the pipes could be analyzed by computers with the right software at certain locations, via Wii Fii and at the main control hub. The Control center would monitor the chemical readings and shut it off in case of a emergency, whatever it mite be, whether it is with a high amount of poisons chemicals by terrorist. Or if pipes break in certain areas and contaminates the water supply of middle Big Pipe (water) surround smaller pipes chemicals then a case of all of that, depending on the type of Climate like cold environments.

Why it wouldn’t Occur

Why I could see this not happening is because big wig or spiteful people who like to shoot down different ideas. that and certain corporation of farmers would lose money cause the consumer would now have the power, and they mite not want this to occur, I’m sure Corporate farming company’s have lobbyists in Washington D.C. except for themselves and there company’s, so they could maintain control instead of a community of real farmers, real people. And printing this idea out and giving to my town’s public officials and representatives. The domino effect has occurred now really 1 way or another I just want you if to please bring it up.

Conclusion

you have everything to gain and truly nothing to lose. You would usher in a golden age people would see if explained right that they would invest tax dollars to out of sheer benefits of the next generation.
