This is my video letter to Oprah. Oprah, It is so frustrating to not understand why you did not accept this gift. All you had to do was say “Thank you”. My family and friends believe that there is no way that you saw this painting…. otherwise it would have never been returned. We feel that maybe a Harpo employee returned it without even realizing what it was. I knew when I mailed it that it may come back to me…. but I thought there would be an explanation, like a form letter explaining that you did not accept gifts or that you had to pick your favorite out of 25 paintings you received…. something like that. Deep down I was hoping for a “Thank you! I love it!”. The package was returned as if it was not even unwrapped. It would be really nice to know what happened and if you even knew about this painting. I hope that you will find a way to get in touch with me with a response… and then atleast I will understand what happened. Thank you, Oprah! Sincerely, Robin

I have only been coming here a short while. But I am so impressed with the patience, tolerance, and wisdom I see expressed by so many of the Muslim contributors to Yahoo Answers. I just want to acknowledge my respectful gratitude for that. I know it cannot always be pleasant here.

The western countries have never known you well enough. In perhaps a small but very meaningful way, you are helping to change that.

You are a blessing to us.

(I am personally "mostly Buddhist"; I have been deeply enriched by Islamic teachings–mostly through reading–especially the stories and poetry of the world’s great Sufi teachers … Rumi, Attar, Ibn Arabi, Rabia…)

Since this is supposed to be a "Question & Answer" forum, I will invite a question:

What do you most wish that non-Muslims had a better understanding of in regards to yourself and your faith?

How you “Approach” people about SOC. What information you “Expose” them to evaluate. How you “Validate” the opportunity and get their questions answered. How to properly “Enroll” them as an Entrepreneur or customer!!!

Letter of Appreciation

There are many ways to state your appreciation to your staff. Writing a letter of appreciation is a simple way to recognize an employee for a job well done or you can go all the way and express your gratitude by presenting an award or bonus to the employee.

The following guidelines will help you come up with an effective letter of appreciation:

• Write a note or letter of appreciation as soon as possible.
• Mention the “why” in specific detail. The reader likes to know you learned of each specific effort and accomplishment on your behalf.
• Express any positive feedback, results, or comments you received from others about the individual’s or group’s work during your absence.
• Be warm, informal, and sincere.

If you are giving an award or bonus:

• State what the award or bonus is.
• Elaborate specifically on what the person has done to earn the award or praise.
• Express what the award or bonus means in symbolic terms.
